FAQS

HSA/FSA questions, answered.

What is Flex, and how does it work with PainGone?

Flex helps customers use eligible health funds for qualifying purchases. PainGone partners with Flex to make it easy for eligible customers to pay for PainGone devices with their HSA or FSA.

Can anyone use their HSA/FSA to buy a PainGone device?

Not everyone automatically qualifies. HSA/FSA eligibility depends on having a qualifying medical condition and meeting IRS requirements. Flex guides eligible customers through the process during or after checkout.

What conditions qualify?

Qualifying conditions may include ongoing or recurring pain where a drug-free pain relief device is considered medically necessary. Eligibility is determined through a brief review and may vary by individual.

What is a Letter of Medical Necessity?

A Letter of Medical Necessity (LOMN) is a document that confirms a product is needed to treat or manage a medical condition. Flex provides a quick telehealth review to help eligible customers get one when required. No doctor visit is needed, and a new LOMN is required once per calendar year.

How do I pay with an HSA/FSA card?

At checkout, select Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA. If you’re eligible, you can complete your purchase with your HSA or FSA card. In some cases, you can also pay with a standard payment method and submit for reimbursement.

Are replacement pads and accessories eligible?

Eligibility can vary by item. Flex will show what qualifies during checkout or the reimbursement process.

Does my FSA balance expire?

Many FSA plans have a use-it-or-lose-it deadline at the end of the plan year. Check your plan’s dates so you don’t leave money behind.

What about returns?

Our 60-day money back guarantee still applies. Refunds go back to the original payment method, including your HSA or FSA card.
